GOBOULT Bassbox Rave Q5 Portable Bluetooth Speaker 5W

The GOBOULT Bassbox Rave Q5 is really about one thing: putting some music in the room without any fuss. It is a portable Bluetooth speaker that you can move from a desk to a shelf to a bag pocket and barely register the change.

Size and Everyday Carry

At 6.9 × 6.9 × 7.9 cm, it is a small cube, and you notice that the moment you pick it up. It sits comfortably in one hand, and it slides into a backpack side pocket without asking for space. The black finish keeps things plain, which honestly suits a speaker that lives on a desk or a bedside table.

Sound and Output

The 5W output is sized for a room, not a party. The dual dynamic drivers do the work here, and for podcasts, casual playlists and background listening it feels well matched. Don’t expect it to fill a hall. It isn’t built for that, and it doesn’t pretend to be.

Connections and Pairing

Pairing runs on Bluetooth 5.4 + EDR, so connecting to a phone is quick. If your phone is nowhere near, the TF card and USB options are a useful fallback, and one of those is usually within reach. There is also TWS support, so you can link a second unit later if you decide one isn’t enough. The built-in microphone lets you take a call without hunting for your phone.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is listed at up to 8 hours, which covers a long afternoon of music with room to spare. Charging is through Type-C, so the cable you already have on your desk will probably do.

Water Resistance

With IPX5 water resistance, a few splashes or a sudden drizzle during an outdoor session shouldn’t be a worry. It’s the sort of thing you don’t think about until it starts raining.
