GOBOULT Rave Q10 Bluetooth Speaker with Up to 12 Hours Playtime

If you want something that fills a room with music without needing a proper stereo setup, the GOBOULT Rave Q10 Bluetooth Speaker is a sensible place to start. It is a compact, portable unit that sits comfortably on a shelf, a desk or the corner of a table, and it does the everyday job well enough that you stop thinking about it after the first evening.

Sound and Bass

The Rave Q10 uses dual dynamic drivers with a passive bass radiator, which GOBOULT calls BoomX bass. In practice, that means vocals stay fairly clear while the low end gets a bit of extra weight, the kind you notice on a slow beat more than on a podcast. The output is listed at 10W, so think home, a small get-together, a balcony. Not a field.

Connecting and Playing

Bluetooth 5.4 with EDR handles the wireless side, and pairing with a phone or laptop is the usual quick affair. It also works with TVs and projectors that support Bluetooth. If your phone is low on battery or you just prefer files, there is USB and TF card support as well, which is handy more often than you would expect. Have two of these? TWS mode lets you pair a second compatible speaker for a wider stereo spread.

Battery, Lights and Everyday Use

The 3000mAh battery is rated for up to 12 hours of playtime, and charging is through USB Type-C, so the same cable you already own will do. The multi-mode RGB lighting gives it a bit of personality in a dim room, though you may or may not care for it. Controls sit on the body of the speaker, and hands-free calling means you can pick up a call without reaching for the phone. The mesh fabric finish in Jet Black looks understated, and the built-in carry handle makes moving it from room to room easy. It is competitively positioned for what it offers, and it comes with a 1 year warranty.
