JBL Charge 6 45W RMS Portable Bluetooth Speaker IP68 Waterproof

Pick up the JBL Charge 6 and it announces itself immediately — at nearly a kilogram, this isn’t a speaker you toss in a bag without thinking about it. The removable handle strap earns its keep here, giving you something to actually grip as you carry it from a car trunk to a backyard table.

Real Two-Way Output

A 53 × 93mm woofer at 30W RMS pairs with a 20mm tweeter at 15W RMS, for a combined 45W — enough to genuinely fill a yard or a rooftop gathering rather than just get lost in outdoor noise. JBL Pro Sound with AI Sound Boost tightens bass and trims distortion as volume climbs, most noticeable once you push past casual background-listening levels.

Built to Take the Outdoors On

An IP68 rating covers water and dust without hesitation, and it’s rated to survive a 1-meter drop onto concrete — the kind of spec you appreciate the one time it actually gets tested by accident at a party.

Battery That Doubles as a Powerbank

Playback runs up to 24 hours, stretching to 28 hours with Playtime Boost, and a 10-minute quick charge buys another 150 minutes when you’re cutting it close. The built-in powerbank is a genuinely useful extra — plug your phone in and keep the music going without watching two batteries drain at once.

Connectivity for Bigger Gatherings

Bluetooth 5.4 with Auracast lets multiple JBL speakers share the same audio, or pair two Charge 6 units together for a wider soundstage. Lossless audio over USB-C is supported with a software update, and the JBL Portable app handles firmware and EQ. It’s a heavier, more capable speaker, competitively positioned for anyone hosting rather than just commuting.
